Q. How long is each session?

A. Kindermusik Village classes are 8 weeks long.  Kindermusik Our Time, Imagine That, and Young Child are 15 weeks long. 

Q. What are the holiday weeks in which no classes are taught?

A. For spring semester 2010, we take off the weeks of February 16 (winter break) and April 13 (spring break).

Q. How long does each class last?

A. Village, Our Time, and Imagine That classes are 45 minutes each.  Young Child classes are one hour.

Q. How long do adults stay in each class?

A. In Village and Our Time a parent (or another adult caregiver) stays for the entire class.  In Imagine That, parents or other adults join the class for the last 15 minutes, and do not take part for the first 30 minutes (siblings may also join the last 15 minutes).  In Young Child, parents join the class for the last 10 minutes, and do not take part for the first 50 minutes (siblings may also join the last 10 minutes).

Q. Are there makeup classes?

A. If I need to cancel a class due to an illness or emergency, yes, I will make it up or give a refund.  If you need to miss a class, you may be able to make it up by attending another class of your level or attending a demo.  I do not guarantee that a makeup will be available every time you miss a class, though.  Since there is quite a bit of repetition from one week to the week immediately following, and you will have home materials with which to experience the musical activities away from class, missing one or two classes should not detract much from your semester experience.  If you need to miss more than 4 classes per 15 weeks of enrollment due to illness, then makeups, credit, or a refund will be offered for those missed classes.

Q. How can I preview a class?

A. Contact Wendy by e-mail (wendymusikmom@aol.com) or phone (650-968-4733) to schedule a preview.  Generally, you may take one free preview class for any regularly scheduled class with openings; if you decide to join your tuition is pro-rated to begin with the next class (some regular classes are closed to previewers, such as last classes of the semester in some cases).  Also, I have demo classes from time to time; often in late August, December, and late May/early June.
